Early Course Feedback
I had never painted a figure before, so I expected to mess it up badly. The way the course breaks everything down made it feel much easier to follow, especially the setup, paint consistency, and shading parts. It actually gave me a clear starting point instead of random advice.
— Billy, Beginner Collector
What I liked most was that it did not feel like theory. You can see the real process, step by step, and that made a big difference for me. The sections on shadows, highlights, and final details helped me understand how to get closer to that proper anime look.
— Marco, First-Time Painter
I had watched random painting videos before, but this felt much more structured. Instead of guessing what comes next, I could follow a full process from prep to final reveal. It made the whole repainting side feel way less overwhelming.
— Daniel, DBZ Figure Fan

Kid Buu Perfection – A Masterpiece of Color and Shading
I have to give a huge shoutout to the Kid Buu figure, this one is just as impressive in its own way. The craftsmanship is outstanding, but what really makes it stand out is the color and finish. The pink tone is absolutely perfect. It’s not washed out or overly bright like you sometimes see, it hits that exact balance from the anime, making the figure feel incredibly authentic. It immediately catches the eye without feeling exaggerated.
And the cell shading… just wow. The shadows are executed beautifully. It gives that dynamic, “alive” look, like Kid Buu just stepped out of a scene. This level of shading is something a lot of figures try to achieve, but very few actually nail, and this one absolutely does.
Once again, Tom’s work speaks for itself. The consistency in quality, attention to detail, and artistic precision is just top-tier. These aren’t just figures, they’re display pieces that genuinely elevate a collection.
I couldn’t be happier with my new Perfect Cell figure from 2DFigurePainting, this piece is absolutely phenomenal. The level of detail is on another level, every line, every contour, every subtle texture feels like it was lifted straight out of the anime and brought into real life.
What really stands out is the color work. The green is spot on, not that off-tone or overly saturated version you sometimes see on other figures. This is the real deal, perfectly matching the anime’s original look. It makes a massive difference and gives the figure an authenticity that collectors will instantly appreciate. Beyond the product itself, I have to highlight Tom. Working with him was an absolute pleasure. He’s not just a top-tier professional who clearly takes pride for his business, but also a genuinely kind and attentive person. Communication was smooth, transparent, and reassuring throughout the entire process, exactly what you hope for when commissioning or ordering something special like this.
This figure has found a perfect place in my collection, and honestly, it elevates everything around it. If you’re considering getting a piece from 2DFigurePainting, don’t hesitate, you’re dealing with someone who truly delivers both in quality and experience. Gery
